SAIPEC is hosted by the Petroleum Technology Association of Nigeria (PETAN) and has established strategic collaboration with the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) and Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Limited (NNPC Limited). It is the largest event in the heart of the energy, oil, and gas sector in Sub-Saharan Africa, and the only truly industry-led grand gathering co-organized in partnership with the country's petroleum sector.

The 2025 SAIPEC attracted 5,100 exhibition visitors, with 139 participating companies actively taking part. Representatives from over 50 countries gathered here, and more than 20 national oil companies, chief executives, and delegations attended, fully demonstrating its extensive influence and strong appeal in the industry. The 2026 SAIPEC is expected to draw over 200 leading enterprises to exhibit and welcome more than 5,500 professionals from Sub-Saharan Africa, Europe, the Americas, and Asia.
