The 6th Egypt Petroleum Show (EGYPS) concluded on February 15 at Cairo International Convention Center. During the event, Chinese exhibition booths attracted significant attention, paving the way for strengthened energy cooperation with oil and gas enterprises across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
Zhenhua Oil: Deepening Energy Partnerships
Ma Cheng, General Manager of Zhenhua Petroleum’s Egypt North Petroleum International, stated: "With nine years of oilfield exploration and development in Egypt, we’ve created over 1,000 local jobs. Egypt is a strategic hub for enhancing China-Africa and China-Arab energy investment. This exhibition accelerates vital partnerships."
Huawei: Digital Solutions for Energy
At Huawei’s booth, displays featured Smart Gas Stations, Intelligent Oilfields, and Digital Pipelines – cutting-edge solutions for the energy sector. Wang Hao, CTO of Huawei’s North Africa Energy Division, emphasized: "Having operated in Egypt for 20 years, this marks our third EGYPS participation. Our digital transformation technologies support MENA’s critical energy industry."
Egyptian Endorsement
Egyptian exhibitor Karim Mahmoud explored Huawei’s smart station technology: "Chinese innovations deliver tailored digital solutions. Enhanced Egypt-China technical collaboration is imperative."
