The 2024 Canton Fair Venue Dedicated Promotion Event Kicks Off in Beijing as First Stop.

On July 30, the 2024 Canton Fair Venue Promotion Event, hosted by the China Foreign Trade Centre, was held at the Beijing China National Convention Center. This marked the first dedicated promotion event for the Canton Fair complex, comprehensively showcasing its status as one of the world's largest integrated exhibition hubs along with its software and hardware strengths.

The event was attended by nearly 200 representatives, including:

● Chu Shijia, Director of the China Foreign Trade Centre
● Su Bin, Deputy Director of the China Foreign Trade Centre
● Qu Weixi, President of the China Convention and Exhibition Society
● Luo Zheng, Deputy Director of the Guangzhou Municipal Commerce Bureau as well as leaders from major domestic business associations and related enterprises.

Chu Shijia stated in his address that choosing Beijing as the first stop for the Canton Fair complex’s dedicated promotion event aims to leverage the capital’s resource advantages and influence in the exhibition industry. This initiative seeks to foster powerful alliances for enhanced development.

He highlighted that the Canton Fair complex has maintained top operational performance nationwide for years, nurturing numerous brand exhibitions while leading the industry with professional services. It continues to spearhead green exhibition initiatives, demonstrating its responsibility and commitment as an industry leader.

Su Bin emphasized that this event will precisely address the needs of major business associations and exhibition organizers across China, building bridges for mutually beneficial partnerships. He expressed confidence that today’s gathering would achieve multidirectional empowerment, unlocking fresh opportunities and inspiration for the high-quality development of the exhibition industry.

Qu Weixi noted in his address that the exhibition industry demonstrated robust growth momentum in the first half of this year, with data analysis revealing three key growth drivers: optimized policies and business environment, integration of exhibitions with industries, and innovation-focused exhibition themes. He affirmed the Canton Fair complex’s active role as the world’s largest exhibition hub in driving industry and economic development, expressing hope that this event would deepen practical cooperation between the complex and business associations/exhibition organizers nationwide.

Luo Zheng highlighted Guangzhou’s strengthened exhibition infrastructure, enhanced policy support, and elevated service efficiency. The municipal commerce bureau will create an "industry-friendly, enterprise-friendly, entrepreneur-friendly" business environment by providing top-tier administrative services and comprehensive support for exhibitions.
The event featured a signing ceremony for Canton Fair complex projects, where participating parties committed to leveraging respective resources for deeper mutually beneficial cooperation.
With the operational launch of Phase IV, the Canton Fair complex now boasts the world’s largest total exhibition space. The newly opened Guangdong Hall significantly expands its capacity to host premium international and domestic conferences, laying a solid foundation for its "twin-engine strategy" of advancing exhibitions and conferences side by side.
